Rhythm and pitch are one scale
Each voice is a train of clicks. Pick a ratio, press Play, and drag the speed up. Below about 20 clicks per second you hear a rhythm. Above that the clicks fuse into a note, and the polyrhythm becomes an interval or chord with the same ratio.

The cycle
One ring per voice. The ticks show where each voice lands in one cycle. They all meet at the top.

Sound
Square pulse mode sends one sharp pulse per beat, with no filtering. For a metronome, choose Metronome and type a BPM. Start with the volume low and short pulses: a long pulse holds the coil on longer. Detune makes the top voice slightly faster. As rhythm you hear the voices drift apart and back (phasing). As pitch you hear the same thing as beating.
